About UPSKaiLL

What is UPSKaiLL?

UPSKaiLL (upskaill.ai) is an all-in-one platform to learn fast and grow your career. A coaching interview maps your skills across 55,000+ roles, including 300+ emerging roles, builds a custom 1-of-1 learning journey, then curates live job postings with direct-apply links. It is built by UPSKaiLL AI Technologies Inc., a Canadian company. There is a fuller answer on the What is UPSKaiLL page.

Why wouldn't I just use ChatGPT or another AI tool for this?

You can, and for a quick brainstorm a general AI chatbot is a fine place to start. Here is what changes when you use a platform built for this one job.

  • The matching is computed, not guessed. A chatbot writes a plausible answer from its training. UPSKaiLL runs your skills profile through its own matching engine: 55,000+ roles, 300+ synthesized emerging roles (and counting), 150+ vectorized skill dimensions, labour market projections using various data sources, and a calibrated measure of each role's exposure to AI. The same profile gets the same ranking every time, and you can see how you line up against each role.
  • The best model for each job, from more than one AI company. A chatbot gives you one company's models. UPSKaiLL uses several models from more than one AI company and picks the one that does each job best: live voice conversation, coaching, lesson writing, scheduling. When a better model arrives we switch, and you don't have to.
  • Structured, not a chat window. What you get is not a transcript to scroll back through. It is a skills profile, ranked career matches, a learning journey with lessons, flashcards, mind maps and interactive projects, a schedule that fits your week and a list of live postings. Each is generated in a structured format, saved, and kept up to date.
  • It remembers and adapts. Your journey persists from one session to the next. Lesson difficulty adjusts to how you are doing, a tutor works through each phase with you, and the plan is revised when your goals change.
  • It ends in real openings. For your target role, UPSKaiLL curates live job postings, drawn from 160M+ postings across thousands of job boards and filtered to your location and work preferences. Each links to the employer's own application.

When a chatbot is enough: if you want a quick list of ideas, or help wording one message, use one. If you want a measured picture of where your skills reach, a plan you can follow for months and openings at the end of it, that is what UPSKaiLL is built for. You can test the difference yourself: the demo needs no signup and the trial needs no credit card.

Is UPSKaiLL legit?

Yes. UPSKaiLL is built and operated by UPSKaiLL AI Technologies Inc., a Canadian company, with published Terms of Service and a Privacy Policy written for Canadian and US privacy law. Payments are handled by Stripe, so UPSKaiLL never holds your card number. You can try the demo without signing up, and the free trial does not ask for a credit card.

Is UPSKaiLL related to UpskAill (upskaill.com), upskAIll (upskaill.org) or UpSkaill (upskaill.co.uk)?

No. UPSKaiLL is not affiliated with UpskAill (upskaill.com), upskAIll (upskaill.org) or UpSkaill (upskaill.co.uk). UPSKaiLL's only websites are upskaill.ai and app.upskaill.ai.

Does UPSKaiLL guarantee results?

No. UPSKaiLL gives you a measured view of your options, a learning journey and live openings. Its guidance is advisory, and what you do with it is your decision.

How it works

How does the matching work?

It measures instead of guessing. Your conversation with your coach builds a picture of what you are good at, across 150+ skill dimensions: things like critical thinking, negotiation or programming. Every one of the 55,000+ roles has the same kind of picture, showing what that job needs.

UPSKaiLL lays your picture over each role's and shows you three things: which roles you are already close to, which of your skills carry over, and the few gaps that matter most. It then adds how each role is expected to grow and how much AI is likely to change it, so you can compare paths side by side.

What are emerging roles?

They are roles the AI economy is creating faster than official job classifications can name them, such as Forward Deployed Engineer or AI Security Engineer. UPSKaiLL tracks 300+ of them (and counting) and matches your skills to them the same way it does for established roles. You can browse them all on the emerging careers page.

Do I need a resume?

No. Your skills profile is built from a conversation with your coach. You can import a resume or a LinkedIn profile to give it a head start: it fills in your skills and work history, and that is all it is used for. UPSKaiLL does not review, grade or write resumes.

Do I talk to the coach, or type?

Either. You can speak with your coach out loud or chat in text, at any hour. If you use voice, your speech is transcribed as you talk. The audio itself is never stored.

What is in a learning journey?

A sequence of phases built around the gap between your skills and your target role. Each phase has lessons, flashcards, mind maps and an interactive project, with a tutor to work through it with you, difficulty that adapts to how you are doing and a schedule that fits your week. No two journeys are the same, and yours is revised when your goals change.

Where do the job postings come from?

From two places. Most come from 160M+ postings across thousands of job boards and company career pages, narrowed to your target role, location and work preferences. For these, you apply on the employer's own application page.

Some employers are UPSKaiLL Partners and post roles directly on the platform. For a partner role, you apply right inside UPSKaiLL, and the employer receives and manages your application through the UPSKaiLL Partner Portal. Either way, you choose what to apply for and the application is yours: UPSKaiLL is not a recruiter and does not apply on your behalf.

Pricing and the free trial

How much does UPSKaiLL cost?

Founding Member prices, locked in for your first 12 months: Pro is $23 CAD a month in Canada and $19 USD a month in the United States. Ultra is $49 CAD or $39 USD a month. Annual billing lowers the monthly cost. Standard prices and annual prices are all listed on the pricing page. Taxes are extra where they apply.

What is the difference between Pro and Ultra?

Pro includes the coaching interview and skills analysis, your personalized learning journey, career matching and job search, and 25 coach conversations a month. Ultra adds unlimited coach access and more room to change direction: you can start more new learning journeys each month and revise each journey more times. Ultra also includes advanced career analytics, early access to new features and priority support.

How does the free trial work?

The trial lasts 7 days and you do not need a credit card to start it. During the trial you talk with your coach and unlock your Career Snapshot: the careers that fit your skills best, how you line up against each one and the gaps worth closing. Choose a plan at any point to turn the snapshot into your full learning journey. If you do not choose a plan, the trial simply ends and nothing is billed. Each person gets one trial.

What is the Founding Member price?

It is a lower price for early members, held for the first 12 months of your subscription. After that your plan renews at the standard price shown on the pricing page.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time, from your account settings or by emailing support@upskaill.ai. You keep access until the end of the billing period you have paid for.

Do you offer refunds?

Subscription fees are generally not refundable once a billing period has started. The exceptions are where the law requires a refund, where we made a billing error, or at our discretion in exceptional cases. Ask within 14 days of the charge at support@upskaill.ai. Residents of Quebec may have additional rights under the Consumer Protection Act. The full terms are in section 10 of the Terms of Service.

Your data

What happens to my data?

Your data is used to run the service for you, and for nothing else. UPSKaiLL does not sell your personal information and does not use it to train AI models. The AI companies whose models power parts of the service process your data under agreements that forbid them from training on it. The Privacy Policy lists every provider by name.

One case where your information goes to someone else at your request: when you apply to a partner role inside UPSKaiLL, your application goes to that employer, who manages it through the UPSKaiLL Partner Portal.

Are my voice conversations recorded?

No. Speech is transcribed in real time and only the text is kept. Audio is not stored at any point.

Is my resume stored?

No. An uploaded document is processed in memory to extract your skills and work history, and the document itself is not kept afterwards. Only what was extracted, your skills and work history, is saved to your profile.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, at any time from your account settings. Your account, profile, conversation transcripts and learning data are deleted within 30 days. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires.
